MONOBLOC TEST

NOTE: this test must be done considering the “Inverter” and “Control Logic Board” that work correctly!

1) Switch ON the unit and wait the charge of the capacitors. (around 420VDC)
2) After that, switch OFF the unit and detach the Binder connector.

Open the rear white metal cover of the Jolly Plus and detach this “Binder” connector.
In this way you will exclude all the “capacitors box + inverter” circuit.
3) Discharge the capacitors box up to 150 VDC.
4) Remove the jumper J6 from the Control Logic Board.
5) Connect the probes of the oscilloscope between TP6 (kV+) and TP12 (kV-) of the Control Logic
Board.
6) Switch ON the unit and wait the “Operator Mode”.
7) Perform an exposure with the values 60kV - 100mA @ 100ms.
8) If the unit does not allow to perform an exposure in “Operator Mode”, enter into the “Setup Mode”
of mA calibration and select the first step. (remember to click “Enter”)

What can you see on the oscilloscope?

If the monobloc and inverter work correctly, you will have to see something like that:

NOTE: 1V/div. = 10kV

[EXAMPLE at 60kV - 100mA @ 100ms]

Please take a picture of the oscilloscope waveforms (or the bitmap) and send it to BMI Service Dept. for
technical evaluation.
