Creative thinking
- In order to foster the development of each skill among my students, I will use
brainstorming approach in my class. I will let them give their own opinions about
a certain topic that is given to each group and report it in class. This activity will
help them broaden their ideas by giving different opinions, help them find
creative solutions, and foster collaboration. Through this, it can enhance my
learners comprehension, critical thinking skills, and ability to construct
sentences.
Systems thinking
- Using systems thinking approaches in my class helps my learners go deeper into
certain topics, thinking about why and how important ASEAN skills are to be
integrated into English. With this, I will give them an activity called Concept Map.
In this activity, they can think deeply and create answers to the given question.
This can enhance their choice of vocabulary and critical thinking.
Analytical Thinking
- This method will help my learners analyze a problem and find a solution. In order
for learners to adapt analytical thinking, I will show them a presentation about
learners who know how to read and learners who have difficulty reading. With
this activity, they will find a problem and create their own solution. This will help
my learners broaden their ideas and think analytically to come up with an
effective solution to the problem.
AI and Big Data
- In today’s generation, wherein technology is what we always use in
communicating, cleaning, cooking, and even teaching, it makes our work easier;
therefore, I will use a blended learning approach in my class. With AI and big
data, I can let my learners do online activities like posting TED Talks on YouTube
and giving their assignments, activities, and exams through Google Classrooms
for me to provide instant feedback and analyze their achievement in my class.
This will help my learners use their creativity and knowledge when using
technology. Also, it can help them improve their fluency in speaking the English
language.
Technological Literacy
- This helps our learners use technology responsibly. To enhance their English
proficiency through technological literacy, I will use blended learning in class. I
will give them an activity by letting them create a blog post. With this activity, my
 learners will be able to construct English sentences and improve their use of
vocabulary words in order to encourage people to read their articles.

Motivation and Self-awareness

- With these skills, they have enough self-awareness of the things that they should
do and should not do. In order for them to apply motivation and self-awareness
in class, I will apply the independent learning approach, in which they will learn
on their own and activate their critical thinking skills. With this, I will let them
compose an essay about how important language is in our lives. In this activity, it
will enhance their creative thinking, comprehension, and writing skills.
Curiosity and Lifelong learning
- This skill will give learners the curiosity that leads to lifelong learning. Therefore, I
will use thinking-based learning, wherein I will guide my learners through their
questions. With this, I will conduct an activity called “Sagot ko, tanong mo." After
our formal discussion, I will group my learners into 5 and let them ask me a
question about our lesson. Each question that they will ask will correspond to 10
points. With this activity, the learners will be able to comprehend, brainstorm, and
construct English questions.
Talent Management
- In this skill, I will use the kinesthetic learning approach in my teaching. Since
learners who have lots of talents are sometimes bored in class, why not let them
do a hands-on activity for them to stay alert? I will let them do a role play about
the importance of reading in our lives; this will make them think deeply and
elaborate on their ideas about the topic. With this, learners will not just have fun,
but they will also learn from what they have presented.
Resilience, Flexibility and Agility
- Being resilience, flexible and having agility is one of the best aspects a student
can have; they can multitask and understand the given task easily. I will use the
gamification approach to engage students in what they are learning. One
example of this activity is scrambling words. In this activity, all they have to do is
arrange the scrambled words to know the hidden message. With this activity,
they can improve their thinking skills and the right construction of sentences.
Service orientation and Costumer service
- In this skill, I will use the behavior management approach, which helps my
learners manage their behavior in terms of servicing other people. Therefore, I
will let them create a role play about how they communicate and what they would
do when there’s a problem in their service. With this activity, they will practice
their fluency in speaking the English language as well as their righteous behavior
towards other people.
