ABSTRACT

This project focuses on developing an AI-based tool that utilizes deep learning techniques to assist in the
preliminary diagnosis of dermatological manifestations. The goal is to provide a reliable and efficient
solution for identifying skin conditions and aiding healthcare professionals in their decision-making
process.

The project begins by collecting a diverse dataset of dermatological images, including various skin
conditions and manifestations. These images are carefully labeled and annotated to train a deep learning
model, specifically a convolutional neural network (CNN).

The trained CNN model is then used to analyze and classify new dermatological images. By leveraging
its learned patterns and features, the model can identify and categorize different skin conditions, such as
rashes, lesions, and discolorations.

To ensure the accuracy and robustness of the tool, the model undergoes rigorous evaluation and validation
using appropriate metrics, such as precision, recall, and F1 score. This evaluation helps to assess the
model's performance and fine-tune its parameters if necessary.

The AI-based tool can be accessed through a user-friendly interface, allowing healthcare professionals to
upload dermatological images and receive preliminary diagnostic suggestions. The tool aims to provide
valuable insights and support to medical practitioners, enabling them to make more informed decisions
and potentially expedite the diagnosis process.

It's important to note that the tool is designed to assist healthcare professionals and should not replace a
formal medical diagnosis. It serves as a preliminary screening tool, aiding in the identification and
classification of dermatological manifestations.

By harnessing the power of deep learning and AI, this project aims to enhance the accuracy and efficiency
of preliminary dermatological diagnosis, ultimately improving patient care and outcomes.
