Accounting Concepts
• Economic Entity Assumptions: berdiri sendiri, terpisah dari
organisasi/individu lain
• Money measurement: hanya mencatatat transaksi yang
dapat dinyatakan dalam nilai uang
• Double entry principles: transaksi akan mempengaruhi
dua akun (debit dan kredit)
• Going concern: kelangsungan usaha/berkelanjutan
• Cost concept: pencatatan harta/jasa atas dasar biaya
sesungguhnya
• Matching concept:
• Accounting period
Transaksi
• Semua kejadian (event) yang menyangkut unit
organisasi (entity) yang dapat diukur dalam satuan
uang dan berpengaruh terhadap kekayaan
organisasi (perusahaan).
• Events that change financial position (asset,
liabilities, O.E) of the company
• Perubahan bisa menambah, mengurangi, atau merubah
susunan aktiva, hutang, dan/atau modal
• Perubahan inilah yang dicatat dalam transaksi
Bukti Transaksi
• Alat bukti yang menyatakan bahwa telah terjadi suatu
transaksi
• Sumber untuk mengetahui apa saja yang telah terjadi
di perusahaan
• Sebagai bahan untuk melanjutkan tahapan-
tahapandalam proses akuntansi
• Bukti transaksi menggunakan dokumen sesuai
peruntukkannya
• Diisi, di tanda tangani dan di validasi oleh pemegang
otoritas (pembuat/penerima)

ENTRY
When three or more accounts are required in
one journal entry, the entry is referred to as a
compound entry.

JOURNALIZING
• Tahun ditulis pada baris pertama dan biasanya tidak ditulis
berulang-ulang apabila tahun tidak berganti.
• Nama bulan ditulis untuk transaksi yang pertama terjadi
dalam bulan yang bersangkutan.
• Tanggal untuk tiap transaksi dicatat pada kolom pertama
pada bagian kolom yang kecil, untuk setiap transaksi perlu
ditulis tanggalnya meskipun pada tanggal yang sama
terjadi beberapa transaksi.
• Nama rekening yang didebet ditulis merapat kesebelah kiri
dalam kolom dan jumlah pendebetan dimasukkan ke dalam
sisi kiri/debet.
• Penjelasan atau keterangan ditulis pada baris keberikutnya
dalam kolom keterangan dan nama rekening.

• A Group of accounts maintained by a company
• A general ledger contains all the assets,
liabilities, and owner’s equity accounts
Posting ke Buku Besar
• Pindahkan tanggal jurnal ke tanggal akun yang
bersangkutan.
• Pindahkan jumlah jurnal ke akun yang bersangkutan.
Jumlah D Jurnal pindahkan ke sisi D akun dan jumlah K
Jurnal pindahkan ke sisi K akun yang bersangkutan.
Untuk akun Bentuk Bersaldo, langsung dihitung
sisa/saldonya dan isikan saldo tersebut pada kolom yang
sesuai.
• Cantumkan nomor halaman buku jurnal ke kolom Ref
(referensi) akun Buku Besar.
• Cantumkan nomor kode akun Buku Besar ke kolom Ref
(referensi) Jurnal.
