SCOPE AND DELIMITATION

The scope of the study on the economic struggles of small business and sari-sari store
owners amidst the inflation examining the experiences, challenges, and strategies employed
by these entrepreneurs in response to inflation pressures. This includes investigating factors
such as price adjustments, customer behavior changes, and financial management practices.

The study will focus on small businesses and sari-sari stores operating within in Iligan
city area or community to ensure a manageable scope of analysis. It will consider various
types of small businesses, food stalls, and service providers, to capture a diverse range of
experiences.
However, the study will have some delimitations to maintain focus and feasibility.
Firstly, it will not delve into broader macroeconomic factors driving inflation but rather
concentrate on the micro-level responses of small business owners. Secondly, it will not
explore the impact of other external factors unrelated to inflation, such as natural disasters or
political instability, unless they directly intersect with the study’s focus on economic
struggles.

To follow up, the study may be limited by the availability of data and resources,
particularly in accessing detailed financial information from small businesses. Therefore,
qualitative research methods such as interviews and surveys, may be employed to gather
insights directly from entrepreneurs.
