Chapter 2 Assignment

Personal brand is one of the most important steps to take nowadays. We are in a

point of our careers where our future is going to be managed based on the decisions and

work that we do now in order to follow our paths.

As Dennis Yu and Logan Young explained on the video personal branding is a

process, is definitely not something that you start today and have results tomorrow. In

this process you have to put effort and be consistent on what you want to achieve and

also you need to be active on your different social media profiles. In the video, Yu and

Logan interact with the audience asking us a simple question: What do you like? Just

think about something somehow significant that you could talk about, start connections

and post interesting content about it. It took me a minute to think about my future

career, I feel like I am still not aware that I am already a senior. I like golf, I am on the

ULM women’s team so one of the goals is play well in tournaments this year and

hopefully get my masters degree, MBA here at ULM. Playing golf around the world

gave me the opportunity to meet new and interesting people. My social media content is

about my trips and golf tournament that I played. Golf gives you a great range of

business opportunities, I met different people with interest in my degree so that could

open different doors. I like teaching (golf lessons) as well and one of my goals besides

golf world is having a remote job that will allow me traveling around the world with a

camper and get to know different cultures. That is definitely one of my dreams, I will

post different content about my trips and maybe get enough followers to earn some

money. As a conclusion, one of the quotes that I like was “Your network is your net

worth: is not about who you know, it is about who knows you. You need to push

yourself and build quality relationships with people and that is going to be the key for

your future.
