Weather Bear Set-Up Instructions
Here are two options for setting up your new weather bear.
Cardstock and Hook/Loop Tape
Print your weather bear and clothing on cardstock. Cut out the items,
making sure to cut out the hole for coat so the bear’s face can be seen
through it. Then, affix hook-and-loop tape (also called Velcro® ) to the
bear and the clothing to attach the clothing to the bear.

Transfer Paper and Felt

Use an INK JET printer to print the clothing pages on to “white” (also
called “light”) t-shirt transfer paper. I suggest Avery brand t-shirt
transfer paper.

Following the instructions on the transfer paper, iron the transfer

paper on to felt. I’d suggest a white felt, but you can use whatever color
you’d like! Tips: Iron on a hard surface, not the ironing board, with the
steam setting OFF. Also, iron the reverse side of the paper, and the
images will essentially “melt” on to your felt. If you try to iron on the felt
(with the transfer paper below it) it will not get hot enough to actually
transfer.

Please note that the images will be reversed after ironing. Since the
number on the shirt is 88, it should appear fine on your felt, as the
number appears the same both directions.

Once the images are transferred to the felt, cut them out (remember to
cut out the circle of the coat) and use the clothing to “dress” your new
weather bear! Enjoy!
