A. O God, you are my God whom I seek;

B. for you my flesh pines
C. and my soul thirsts like the earth,
D. parched, lifeless and without water.

A. Thus have I gazed toward you in the sanctuary

B. to see your power and your glory,
C. for your kindness is a greater good than life;
D. my lips shall glorify you.

A. Thus will I bless you while I live;

B. lifting up my hands, I will call upon your name.
C. As with the riches of a banquet shall my soul be satisfied,
D. and with exultant lips my mouth shall praise you.

A. You are my help,

B. and in the shadow of your wings I shout for joy.
C. My soul clings fast to you;
D. your right hand upholds me.
