Attention is drawn to te fact that tubing made trom PA 6-type ‘moulding materials has a moisture content in the as-delw- fed consition which may drop under the effect of elevated ‘service temperatures and low humidity, reducing the tubing’s| toughness and possibly leading to impaired performance i the tubing is exposed to sudden, dynamic stress (such as ‘may be the ease with diesel engines) A similar siuation may also arise at low temperatures, ‘Tubing made trom PA S-type moulding materials should rot be used in conjunction with parts containing zine which are Fiely to come into contact with davicing salts or other sub: stances releasing zinc ions. Polyamide tubing should also be protected against battery acids, Other relevant standards DIN 16982 Dimensions of polyamide (PA) tubes ‘due consideration ehuld be given tothe risk of some paints, vvamishes and solvents causing damage tothe tubing. “Ting of types PA 11 P.
