Hay algo muy importante en el Pasado Simple y es que cuando conjugamos el verbo en el
pasado es igual para todas las personas, es decir, que con todos los pronombres el verbo
va igual, por ejemplo:

She played tennis yesterday. (Ella jugé tenis ayer)
La estructura de oracién afirmativa es:
Sujeto + verbo en pasado + complemento\Veamos como formamos el pasado simple de verbos requlares.

Hay muchos verbos irregulares en inglés y ninguno sigue las regias de los verbos
regulares
Formamos el pasado simple de los verbos irregulares de muchas maneras. Debes
tener en cuenta la lista de verbos irregulares. No hay reglas ortograficas ni nada que
nos ayude a formarlos, solo hay que estudiarlos de memoria o acudir a la tabla de

Repasemos nuevamente la estructura de la oracién en Pasado simple.
Entonces la estructura de la oraci6n afirmativa es:
Sujeto + verbo en pasado + complemento

# En la forma negativa para los verbos regulares e irregulares usamos el verbo
auxiliar did not / didn’t seguido por el verbo principal (el que indica la accién) en
infinitivo, es decir sin conjugar.
La estructura de la oracién negativa es asi:
Sujeto + did not (didn't) + verbo en infinitive (sin conjugar) + complemento

Observa cémo cambia el verbo de la oracién afirmativa a la negativa, en la oracién
negativa el verbo debe ir sin conjugar, por ejemplo si en la oracién afirmativa el verbo es
“went” en la oracién negativa debe usarse el infinitivo, 0 sea “go”

# En las preguntas usamos did al principio de la oracién y el verbo principal también
se usa en infinitivo. Recuerda que estas preguntas las respondemos con “YES / NO”
La estructura de la oracién interrogativa es:
Did + Sujeto + verbo en infinitivo (sin conjugar)+ complemento?

Repasemos de nuevo las estructuras. Hay algo muy importante que debes notar y es
que el auxiliar “Dia” y “did not (didn’t)" los usamos para todas las personas

oracién afirmativa el verbo es “played” en la oracién interrogativa debe usarse el infinitivo,

Observa que para formar la
pregunta indirecta en el Pasado
Simple debemos ubicar primero
la palabra interrogativa, luego el
auxiliar del pasado “did” sequido
del verbo en infinitivo y el
complementoPractiquemos un poco este tipo de preguntas. Recuerda que siempre necesitan una
respuesta completa
Te dejo una lista de verbos irregulares, podras observar que hay 4 (cuatro) columnas, en
la primera aparece el verbo en infinitivo, es decir sin conjugar, en la segunda aparece en
Pasado Simple, ésta segunda columna es la que tenemos que utilizar con el Pasado
‘Simple, en la tercera columna aparece el participio del verbo, pero por ahora no le damos
importancia porque no la vamos a utilizar y en la ultima columna tenés el significado del
verbo.
