Lesson Objective By the end of this lesson students will be able to learn new
vocabulary words and their meaning.
Materials Needed Students will bring materials such as: a copy book, pen or pencil
and a flash card.

Student Age/Grade 8-12 or 6th Grade
Student Language High beginner or low intermediate.

Activity
Brief Description I will ask students to say a few vocabulary words and their
meaning based on what they know.
What does the Teacher I will write the words and their meaning on the board(such as
do? hospitals, government, sanitation, community,
immigration,improve, etc),I will move around the class to ensure
that all the students were able to copy the words and their
meaning, I will recite the words and the meaning to the students
and ask them to repeat after me,I will write the words and their
meaning on each flash card and distribute them to the students
and ask them to study the word and meaning they have on the
flash card.
What do the Students Students will copy the words and their meaning, repeat the
