3.PROJECT ROADMAP

3.1 Phase 1: Planning and Analysis

During this phase, a detailed analysis of management processes will be conducted, and
database requirements and features will be defined. Potentials and risks will be identified
and addressed to lay a solid foundation for the project.

3.2 Phase 2: Database Design and Architecture

In this phase, the database schema will be designed based on the identified requirements.
Data relationships and dependencies will be determined, and the appropriate database
management system (DBMS) will be selected. This phase sets the structural framework for
the entire system.

3.3 Phase 3: Development

The development phase involves the actual implementation of the database schema and
functionalities. A user-friendly interface will be created to facilitate easy data input and
retrieval. Regular testing will be conducted to ensure functionality and security, with user
feedback incorporated for refinement.

3.4 Phase 4: Implementation and Training

Once the database system is developed, it will be deployed in the IKEA environment.
Training sessions for end-users and administrators will be conducted to ensure a smooth
transition. Ongoing support and monitoring will be in place to address any post-
implementation issues promptly.

3.5 Phase 5: Evaluation and Optimization

Continuous evaluation of the system's performance and gathering user feedback will be the
focus in this phase. Identified areas for improvement and optimization will be addressed,
and updates will be implemented as needed. This phase ensures the IKEA Management
System remains dynamic and responsive to evolving needs.

4.CONCLUSION:
The IKEA Management System Database Project is poised to elevate our skills in database
systems, and data management capabilities. With a well-structured roadmap, collaboration
among stakeholders, and a commitment to continuous improvement, we anticipate a successful
implementation that aligns with IKEA's commitment to innovation and excellence.
