Chapter II
Review of Related Literature

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What is Review of Related Literature (RRL)?
- Review of Related literature is defined as a composition of facts, studies,
principles, which are related to your research topic. (The process is similar
to what you did in the introduction, however, in this part, your chosen study
should be well-elaborated by your gathered related studies).
2. Can we mention about our methods of conducting the experiment? Or even
describe our product?
- NO. Not yet. There is a separate section in your research paper for methods
of conducting your experiment. Mentioning your OWN product should not be
highlighted in your RRL
3. Where can we find references related to our study?
- You can find RRL materials in books, internet, professional journals, articles,
and other forms of publication.
4. What are the types of literature should we include in our RRL?
- Just like in your introduction, there must be a combination of related studies
published from different places: foreign (international), national, and local.
5. How many studies should I include in our literature review?
- The number of sources required for an effective literature review varies
depending on the topic and the nature of the task. In your RRL, we do not
specify how many references you need to gather however, you should include
enough studies so that all the major points of view on the topic are
acknowledged in your literature review.
6. How many paragraphs should be present in our RRL?
- There is no specific number of paragraphs as long as you have gathered
enough information to support your study.
7. We are having a hard time finding sources, can we include sources that do
not directly tie in with my research question?
- NO, all items used in your literature review should directly pertain to your
research question. If you are not finding quality sources that are not related to
your topic, you might need to revise your research focus.
8. Do I have to read all of the articles? Some of them are long!
- YES. An important part of conducting a literature review is carefully reading
through (and often annotating) each article used in the literature review. YOU
HAVE TO READ!

To put it simply, your RRL is composed of different ideas, statements, concepts, and
etc. that are all related and significantly support your study.

P.S. Please paraphrase all your borrowed ideas from the internet 
