Who is that small black kitten?

It was a normal day, I woke up to my usual alarm at 6:00. I slept for around 10 more minutes, or
so I thought. I woke up with 5 minutes to brush, bath, pack my bags, eat and go! While running
to school I paused for a second to catch my breath. At that time, I spotted a small black kitten
next to the bushes.

Even though I had around two more minutes to run half a mile, I petted the kitten and took off
running to my school. As usual, I was 3 steps away from my classroom. After the intercom
assembly, I entered my class and couldn’t keep my mind of the black kitten I had seen. As usual
I heard the “Mary why aren’t you finishing your food?” from Mr. Josh. I had a tuna sandwich
which I utmost hated. After school, I went to see the black kitten from the morning. It was
playfully waiting there, I gave it my tuna sandwich. It gobbled it up greedily in less than 10
seconds.

Every day I asked my mother if she could make a tuna sandwich, my mother was amazed and
thought I finally liked something my mother made for me. I also begged my mother to let me
take milk to school. She thought I was crazy, as the milk would smell. Although I ensured my
mother that everything would be fine. In secret I was feeding the tuna sandwich I got to the
black kitten I named Pearl. It lapped up at the milk I brought to school happily and started
scratching my jeans.

I was happy watching the small kitten grow, in around a year or so, it grew up into a full cat. I
later adopted the cat. My mother’s reaction to hear that I hadn’t been eating her tuna
sandwiches and drinking the milk was funny. To this day I still visit my friend Pearl and I started
to gather kittens and cats to play with Pearl. Today Pearl is adopted by us and is under our
safety and we will continue to take care of dear Pearl!
