4. Plot
- The man travel to the camp near Henderson Creek to check
out some lumber land.
Fire

The man was the newcommer in Yukon, once day The man
travel on the road, it was extremely cold and gray day, the man
walk on the road and climb up the high hill. At the top, he stop to
look at his wacth, it was 9 O’clock, at the top there was no sun in
the sky. But the man dosen’t worry.
The road was hidden under several feet of ice and snow.
everywhere was pur white. He could not see.
The man countinued to walk, it was colder then fifty degree
below zoro, He walk to the camp here Henderson Creek. The
other man already there, he go there to check out some lumber
land he wanted to buy. He thought that he would get to the camp
at 6 O’clock in the evening.
On the road the man had a husky gray bog with him. The
dog was unhappy about the terrible cold, the dog didn’t know that
it was actully Seventy Five degrees bleow zero.
The man walked a several miles until he come to a small,
frozen stream, the man walked on the frozen stream very careful
when he stepped on it, he knew that water under the frozen
stream. He felt the ice breaking under his feet. He heard a loud
snapping ice, and he jumped away just in time.
Another time, he pushed the dog forward. Suddenly the dog
brake the ice and the nearly to fell into the ice water and The dog
jump the other side and landed safely. But one foot had gotten wet
and ice immediately, the dog bit off the ice from it foot and toes.
The man decide it was time to have something to eat,
He put his hand under his jacket and pull out the bread, then he
sat down on a snow. He saw ice had cover on his bread and his
face, he could not eat and then he thought, the old timer told him
a truth, the old time said that there was a rule about traveling in
the Yukon, he said you must never travel alone in the Yukon when
it was fifty below.
The man hadn’t believed the old time, he laughed at him, he
was traveling alone. He would be okey. But he must build a fire
now.

Part II
The man began to search for wood. Near the stream, then he
proceeded to make a fire, He worked carefully, and soon it was
starting fire, the dog come to close the fire.
The man rested for a few minutes. Then he stood up and
continue to travel, the dog was disappointed. It wants to stay near
the fire. The man walks quickly because there did not see the road.
Then it happened, the man broke the ice and fail to water, his foot
wet to knees, the man scrambled to try ground, he angrily, This
would delay him for a hour. He would to make a fire again to get
dry. He saw a tree and make fire under the tree, the fire was
stronger, he was safe.
The man smiled as he remembers the old timer said the you
must never travel alone in Yukon at fifty below. Well, he was, he
had an accident, but he saved himself, he laughs at the old timer.
He was alright.
and then, the man heard the sound dull, he saw snow falling
from the tree onto the fire. The man finds a spot where fire had
been. He was very horror. The man got the matches from his
pocket. But he doesn’t fell his fingers, he hit his hand with his
Lage until he feels in his fingers. Suddenly the matches dropped
into the snow and the man try to pick the matches up but he
unable to do. the cold hit his finger went death and the man tries
to ran with his dog,
Suddenly the man fell in the snow. The man thought to himself,
“the Old timer, you are right”.
Then the man was death. The dog wait and the dog knew
that the man cannot make the fire, the dog back aways from the
man and direction to the camp, because it knew that the other man
can build the fire.
