    How Multimedia Can Improve Learning and Instruction


    The article is about exploring the potential multimedia principle to make people understand
    communications in academic content, as measured by their ability to take what they have
    learned and apply it to new situations, like solving problems. Multimedia actually exists
    around us, especially multimedia instruction. It’s all around us that contains both words and
    pictures; it can be presented in books, slideshow presentations, e-learning, or even in video
    games. With multimedia existing in our world, multimedia can facilitate better encoding and
    retrieval of information. The article even explains and provides some examples and case
    studies of the effectiveness of multimedia in learning and instruction.
