Reflection Paper #1

I came from a Christian family which means all my life, I have been exposed to the Word and
God but I have never cared for it as much until I reached high school. When I was in Grade 7, I
met a woman from a different church, she taught me about the gospel. She is a "counselor" or
like a "mentor" which turns out, she was my uncle's mentor back in the day. This made me
think that our mentorship was meant to be by God because there was a connection from the
past that related us together. Then one day, I woke up feeling different. There's a rush in me, an
excitement to read the Word, to share the gospel, and to go to church. That's when I realized
that I experienced real faith in God. After years of not caring, I am finally a believer and I now
completely trust God. From then on, I served in the church and in my school for the rest of my
high school. I became a leader as well, baptizing the girls I led. I served in ministries, I sang in
the church and became a prayer warrior. I also volunteered and helped in community missions
like feeding programs and teaching unfortunate children.

In everything that I do, I always have faith in God. And because of my faith in God, I am who I
am now, and I am where God wants me to be. In every problem and difficulty that I face, I
always pray to God, and He helps me overcome all of it. I've had bad and traumatic experiences
before, but God was always the one that is there for me. There are a lot more unforgettable
faith experiences that I had but I think the story of me finally becoming a believer is the best
out of all of them because it was a major turning point in my life that I would never forget.
