A NOVEL REAR-END COLLISION, ACCIDENT AVOIDANCE, DISTANCE

MEASURING USING ULTRASONIC TECHNOLOGY

Aim:

To Prevent Accidents for vehicles using an intelligent device.

Need:

It is necessary to have an intelligent system which identifies the

accident before it happens and informs or signals a driver to be alert.

Method:

This can be implemented by connecting ultrasonic sensor in the back side

of the vehicles. The Sensors are housed in such a way that, when it senses

an object or a vehicle immediately is sends a output to the microcontroller.

The microcontroller then signals or alerts the driver to be aware of it.

This also has a provision for switching on a relay to support the

automatic applying of brakes . For project Demonstration we have

implemented a small model with a single sensor fixed in it. The same This

is Diagrammatically shown below:
