Carb Holder / Adaptor

Here’s a little idea for anyone undertaking the stripping and rebuilding of their
carbs in the future. The carb isn’t the easiest piece to hold onto while you’re
stripping and reassembling, so this holds it securely leaving both hands
free…….., useful while assembling the choke lever springs!

It is exactly what you can see! It is a ½” thick suitably sized wooden

carburettor holder/adaptor with two sets of 3/8” holes, both vertical and
horizontal so that the intake end of the carb can be bolted to the adaptor. You
can use the existing UNC intake adaptor bolts. I have had this one in my
workshop drawer since the 70’s.

End of the wood block in the vice, carb secure and away you go. Arrange the
holes to suit yourself. Let the photos do the talking……..

Cost, Nil. Time to make: 10 mts. Hassle solved: Plenty!
