:‫اﻟ��ﺟﻤﺔ‬
Ismael entered the shrine looking down, and saw it with the light of 50 candles dancing on it
and decorating its sides. Sheikh Dardery was taking them one by one from a tall, dark-skinned

nodding at him and smiling. Sheikh Dardery came to check on him, so Ismael leaned on him and
said,
⁃This is a blessed night, Sheikh Dardery. Give me something of the lamp’s oil.
⁃By God, I swear you are a lucky man, it is the Night of Destiny and the Hadra night.

Hadra: a night of a ceremonial prayer.
