    Would it be possible to obtain the PBSAP goal for 2023 year?

    - Yes, because our country set a goal or plan to preserve our biodiversity. The goal of Chapter
    20 of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2017–2022 was to enhance the socioeconomic
    standing of communities’ dependent on natural resources while also preserving ecological
    integrity. The three (3) main sub-sector outcomes—remaining biodiversity and ecosystem
    services functioning, better environmental quality, and enhanced ecosystem resilience and
    adaptability to support this.

    It is imperative to prioritize the integration of Environment and Natural Resources (ENR) in


    national, regional, and municipal plans, as doing so will guarantee coordinated strategies and
    actions related to biodiversity. “All agencies of the government shall ensure that protection
    of biological diversity is integrated and mainstreamed into their development programs and
    projects,” stated Section 43 of Republic Act 10964, the General Appropriations Act (GAA)
    2019.
