These rules shall be known as The Western Ghats International school Faculty Service Rules 2019 ~20, All Faculty 'Y members must go through the rules and affix ther signature below for having understood the conten and for strict adherence thereafter. These rules are subject to addition, alteration and revision as and when found necessary. Appointment of a Faculty will be made purely on the basis of the interview conducted, ‘The appointment will intially be on temporary basis and the employee will be on probation for two Years for a monthly salary with PF + ESI fixed by the management. The Faculty shall keep his/her salary confidential and shall not share or compare them with others. Appointment Order, Contract and Code of Conduct prescribed by CBSE (enclosed) are compulsorily to be followed in this institution. The performance of the Faculty will be evaluated by the Management through the ‘Academic Co-Ordinators during the probation period. The Faculty shall be declared confirmed after completing the probation (2 years) satisfactorily. Increment will be offered only based upon the performance of the Faculty. Performance will be assessed daily by the respective ‘Academic Co-ordinators. If the performance of the Faculty isnot satisfactory, the Management will 1. Terminate the service without notice (or) 2. Withhold the Increment (or) 3. Reduce the salary (or) 4, Cancel the fee concession of the child (if any). Itis expected that the Faculty serves tll the end of the academic year. Service / Experience certificate will be issued only after the completion of probation of two years and also according to the satisfaction of the Management. If the two year contract period needs to be broken, Faculty can be relieved by giving resignation letter with two months’ salary. Faculty will be formally relived after the completion of all works of the faculty and also on submission of NOC by the Heads (Academic Co-ordinate and Admin Manager). ‘There is no FEE CONCESSION for the child of the Faculty. Fee concession may be considered by the ‘Management if the service of the Faculty is completely satisfactory and if there is any exceptional contribution to the school. ‘On submission of resignation letter with 2 month salary (during this probation period of 2 years): 4. Casual Leave (CL) cannot be availed. Every leave will be calculated as loss of pay. 2. Free school transport will be suspended. If school transport is required, transport fee should be paid. 3. Fee Concession for the child (if any) will be cancelled. 4, Vacation leave will be cancelled. Faculty members should not involve in any act which may prove detrimental to the reputation of the school. Any act of indiscipline (absent without prior information, not responding to communication ing students, like post, SMS, mobile calls while o7 leave, corporal punishment to the students, abusing correcting written work etc.) non— performance of duties (delay in submission of records, neglect of students, any mistake committed in written records, etc.), moral or criminal offence, with ipal, academic coordinators), personal contact insubordination to superiors (management, prin parents (in person or through mobile, whatsapp, mail, facebook, etc.) will attract disciplinary action. In case of such disciplinary proceedings, the service of the Faculty may be terminated with or without notice. 10. A memo will be issued for grave mistakes committed by the Faculty. Issuance of the third memo will lead to the termination of the Faculty's service automatically. 11, During probation, all the Faculty members are entitled to free school transport (Free transport will not be offered to Faculties of local area within a radius of Skm from school). School transport will be provided at common pick up point and not at the door step. Faculty is not entitled to other allowances, concessions or remuneration, et. during probation. 12, Annual Insurance (covering Life and Accident) for the Faculty will be paid by the Management, those who complete first year of probation, 13, During the first year of probation, fifteen days of summer vacation will be given with loss of pay. During the second year, summer vacation leave will be given with salary. 14. During the first year of probation, Casual Leave (Cl) is not permissible for a period of six months. ‘Adday per month Casual Leave (CL) is allowed during the next six months. Leave above this limit will be treated as Leave without Pay. Casual Leave has to be applied for in ‘advance and sanction obtained. In unforeseen circumstances, the Faculty has to inform the school over phone before the commencement of the school for the day and produce the leave application on reporting back to duty. If the faculty does not submit the leave form (CL Form or LOP Form) on the next working day, half a day leave will be deducted as penalty. 15. Ifa Faculty takes leave continuously during weekend, government holidays, vacation, etc., all the days will be continuously considered as leave. For example, if the Faculty is absent on Saturday and Monday, 3 days salary (including Sunday) will be deducted. 16, All the teaching Faculty should possess a qualification in teaching (B.Ed. / D.T.Ed. / ECCE/ Montessori / NTT). They should also appear for C.TET Examination within one year of appointment. Those who do ‘not possess a teaching qualification should enroll themselves for any of the above mentioned courses from a recognized university, and produce a proof for the same. They should give an undertaking at the time of appointment. Such Faculty members will be confirmed only on completion of the course. 117. Regarding absenteeism of the Faculty on important days (Red Letter Days) of the school, like schoo! celebrations, se ars, workshop, etc,, he/she wil lose 2 days (excluding casual leave) of the salary for each day of absence, on these important days. 18. Mobile phones have to be left in the safe custody of the Admin Staff on arrival in the morning. Faculty must di lay high standards of behaviour. Questionable behaviour towards fellow staff, non teaching staff, students, parents, visitors will not be tolerated inside and outside school. Any such behaviour will lead to the termination of the staff without notice. Professional Tax to Ettimadai Panchayat (for the Faculties of The Western Ghats International Schoo!) will be deducted in the salary twice in a year. Faculty members are not permissible to conduct private tuition at home. Faculty members are responsible for the materials (mont items, mobile, book, lab apparatus, etc) assigned to them. In case of missing the materials, Teaching Faculty is bound to replace the material or pay the exact value of the material. ‘As the Management offers free transport for Faculty, it is the moral responsibility of the Faculty to supervise the student of the school van for their safety and discipline daily and also during field trips, tours, etc. Teaching Faculty should wear helmet for two wheelers and wear seat belt for four wheelers. Faculty should uphold the reputation of the institution in every activity. All. matters related to these rules and arising out of them will be under the sole legal jurisdiction of Coimbatore city. During the service under this AGREEMENT, the Party No.1 will be liable to disciplinary action in accordance with the Rules and Regulations framed by the school from time to time even with retrospective effect, for any art of insubordination, intemperance or other misconduct, or the ‘commission of an act, which constitutes a criminal offence or of any breach of non performance of duties or any of the provisions of those present or of any rules pertaining to the conduct of the school. These rules will normally conform to the Govt. rules in this behalf. 11, Ifthe Party No.1 is suspended from duty during investigation into any charge of his conduct mentioned in clause (10) above, he/she shall not be entitled to any pay during such period of suspension but shall be entitled to receive a subsistence allowance at such rate as may be decided by the committee generally from time to time or at a rate as may be deemed fit. The subsistence allowance shall conform to the Govt. rules normally 12. If the Party No.1 is exonerated from the charge brought against him, he/she shall be reinstated in his/her post and shall be paid his salary for the period, if any, during which he/she was suspended and subsistence allowance already paid will be adjusted. 13, The Governing Body of the said school may terminate the service of the Party No.1 as provided in Rules 29 Chapter Vil of the Affiliation Bye-laws of the Board by giving three months notice in writing in the case of confirmed employee or one month notice in the case of temporary employee or by paying a ‘sum equivalent to 3 months salary or one month salary, which the Party No.1 is then drawing, Similarly, ifthe Party No.1 wants to relinguish his job, he/she shall be required to give three months notice in writing or deposit three months salary if he/she is permanent and two months salary if he/she is temporary, as the case may be in lieu thereof. 14.
