NSS SSCBS REPORT

PRIDE MONTH CELEBRATION

The National Service Scheme Unit of SSCBS strives for the well-being of the society,
acting on the belief that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare
of the society as a whole.

The month of June being known as the pride month, NSS SSCBS decided to celebrate it
by conducting some activities in the college with the purpose of spreading awareness and
acknowledging the importance of everyone's uniqueness. Following activities were
organized during the pride month:

2. Movie Screening

 ● Pride Parade
A pride parade was organised in collaboration with the Queer Straight Alliance to spread
awareness about acceptance. A great number of people joined the parade to show their
support. The parade took place in the college premises, and students made posters and
slogans to further show their belief in the cause.

 ● Movie Screening
In collaboration with Queer Straight Alliance, NSS SSCBS organized movie screening
with focus on education about challenges and lives of LGBTQ+ community. The short
films that were screened were: Send me an Angel, Read Between the Lines, Love is Love
and Masked. The event attracted a good number of students and marked a successful
end to the pride month celebration in the college.
