Steps to solve the effects of human activities on
the environment?
1. Enforce laws

• Patrols in the forest areas – helicopters and having road blocks to
monitor the movement of timber-carrying lorries.
2. Increase public awareness
• Schools – Moral Education
• Mass media – newspapers, radio and television
3. Practise Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repurpose (5R)
• Refuse – not to use non-recyclable materials.
• Reduce – reduce the number of materials to use.
• Reuse – reuse the materials.
• Recycle – recycle materials.
• Repurpose – use the materials for other uses.
4. Use biological control

• Avoid the use of pesticides that pollute the air and soil
