The European Dynamism 50

In Europe, there is a movement brewing. The current geopolitical climate, an
immigration crisis and stagnating growth have led politicians, but more notably,
entrepreneurs, towards a call to action: European Sovereignty. The technology
industry has begun to combat this challenge by building in service of European
Dynamism.
The term American Dynamism was coined, and subsequently verticalized, by the team at a16z. It has come to signify any
startup working towards advancing the national interest. The United States is well known for it’s ingenuity and
entrepreneurial spirit; moreover, a unified business culture, political interests and geography lend itself to the movement.

European Dynamism shares much of the same ambitions of it’s allies across the Atlantic. Nevertheless, a long and storied
history, a multi-cultural business environment, and hyper-localized networks lead to competing incentives and varied
outcomes. Our objective is to harness European ambitions, identify parallels with the booming model in the US, and
determine areas of overlap and complementarity.

This artifact will serve as a showcase for this emerging category. We hope to inspire interest and drive an engaging and
thoughtful dialogue around how Europe can advance the continental interest in concert with allies in the United States.
