The greedy dog thought to himself that he would take the piece of
meat from the other dog.
Then he would have two pieces. But when he opened his mouth to
grab the other piece of meat, the piece of meat in his mouth fell into
the river.

she said. “Hear that bird? That will make your voice lovely. See how the
sun shine? She will make you smile.? Elga Twill waved her hand and
hurried away.
“I’m pretty!” cried Amy. “I just know I am.” And she was. Her eyes
were bright, her smile was lovely, and her voice was happy.
Down the street, Mrs. Elga Twill swept her kitchen. She swept it her
new broom. And she wondered, “What if I were a witch? What would
that be like?’
