This document outlines the steps for a research paradigms session. It instructs facilitators to provide an overview of the concept of "paradigm" using an example. Participants are then divided into groups to read about different research paradigms. Each group analyzes their assigned paradigm and prepares a summary addressing what features their study will consider, what data it might miss without those features, and how the paradigm could apply to an authentic research topic.

Step 1: Facilitator provides an overview to the concept of
“paradigm” [An illustrative example could be how participants can describe any object presented to them in various ways- in our session at Mak-we displayed “a bag” and asked participants to define/describe it. Step 2: Share the various paradigm readings among the suggested groups. Step 3: Encourage reading and analysis of text on the assigned paradigm Step 4. Groups make summaries of the paradigm by addressing the following activity questions and present them: • a.What features of the qualitative research paradigm will your study pay attention to in the research process? • b.What value and/or data will your study miss, if it does not pay attention to the qualitative paradigm features? • c. In terms of application, participants can identify how these paradigm features can be applied to an authentic research topic.
