Bells University of Technology, Ota, is the First Private University of Technology, established by the
Bells Educational Foundation. It was granted an operational license by the Federal Government on 9tr'
June,2005.
The Vision of tl-re University is "to be a world-renowned University, comrnitted to the development
and transfbrmation of the society, through environment-friendly technology and other innovations".
Its Mission is "to discover, disseminate and apply the knowledge of Science and Engineering for
human well-being and the development of the society".
Bells University of Technology offers attractive and cornpetitive Conditions of Service comparable to
what obtains in the Federal University system.
Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following
vacancies in the Departments listed below:
l. Civil Engineering;
u. Computer Engineering;
iii. Electrical/Elettronics & Telecomm unication Engineering;
IV. Mechanical Engineering;
v. Mechatronics Engineering;
vI. Biomedical Engineering; and
Yll. Quantity Surveying.
1. Assistant Lecturer:
a. A good First degree in relevant field plus Masters degree in relevant field of not below
600/o average pass or equivalent CGPA to proceed to PhD.
2. Lecturer II:
a. B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD degrees in relevant field and / or recognized professional registration
b. Four (4) publications (minimum of 2 Journal Ar1icles, 2 Conference proceedings or
Chapters in a published book/Patent and minimum of 1 indexed Journal in Scopus/Web
of Science)
c. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience on post as Assistant Lecturer.
3. Lecturer I:
a. B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD degrees in relevant field and recognized professional registration
b. Seven (7) publications (minimum of 5 Journal Articles, 2 Conference proceedings or
Chapters in a published book/Patent and minimum of 2 indexed Journal in Scopus/Web
of Science)
c. Minimurn of 3 years relevant experience on post as Lecturer II.

4. Senior Lecturer: ''
a. B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD degrees in relevant field and recognized professional registration
b. Thirteen (13) publications (minimum of 1 1 Journal Articles, 2 Conference proceedings or
Chapters in a published book/Patent and minimum of 3 indexed Journal in Scopus/Web
of Science)
c. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience on post as Lecturer I.
5. Reader:
a. B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD degrees in relevant field and recognized professional registration
b. Twenty (20) publications with a minimum of 4 indexed Joumal in Scopus/Web of
Science. Conference proceedings or Chapters in a published book/Patent are added
advantage
c. Minimum of 6 years post PhD relevant work experience as full time academic on tenrtre
track, 3 years of which must have been as Senior Lecturer.
6. Professor: '(
a. B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD degrees in relevant field and recognized professional registration
b. Twenty-five (25) publications with a minimum of 5 indexed Journal in Scopus/Web of
Science. Conference proceedings or Chapters in a published book/Patent are added
advantage
c. Minimum of 15 years post PhD relevant work experience as full time academic on tenure
track, 10 years of which must have been in the University system. The Candidate must
have been a Reader for at least 3 years.
