 PREFACE

Practice makes a man perfect. This practical training makes it easy job to
understand the work methodology of the company & candidates can get detailed
knowledge about specific specialization area. It is a famous saying in JAPAN
that the person who has read 1000’s of page is not worth that the person who
has traveled for 100’s of meter. These indicate the importance of exposure to
the practical life.

A mutual fund is a trust that pools the saving of a number of investors

who shares a common financial goal. The money thus collected is than invested in
capital market instruments such as shares debentures and other securities. T h e
income earned through this capital investment and the capital appreciation is
realized is shared by its unit holders in proportion to the number of units owned
by them.

The investors should compare the risk and expected yield after
adjustment of tax on various instruments while taking investment decisions.
The investors may seek advice from experts and consultants including agents
and distributors mutual funds scheme while making investment decision.

The investors in proportion to their investments share the profit and losses.
The mutual funds normally come out with a number of schemes with
different investment objectives, which are launched from time to time.

 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

One of the interesting developments in financial market over last 20 to 25

year has been the growing popularity of derivatives. In many situations, both
hedgers and speculators find to more attractive to trade a derivative on an
asset, commodities then to trade assets and commodity itself. Some
commodity derivatives are traded on exchanges.

A mutual fund is an ideal investment vehicle where a number of

investors come together to pool their money with common investment gold. In India
there are various stock exchanges are included by Top Stock Exchange of India is
BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) establish in 1875 and NSE (National Stock
Exchange) in your 1992 BSE was established before LPG reform and NSE
after LPG. LPG was introduced in 1990 by Indian government.
