Impatience.

Drakkenheim. Raised by her parents until they were killed in the civil war. Then raised by the
surviving members of the household servants.
She was raised by the Majordomo, Anton Kaesenolm, and Governess Jessica Kaesenolm.
Who are your parents? Are they alive? What do they do for a living?
Lionel and Katrin von Karajan are dead. They were nobles with strong ties to Cecelia von

Not at this moment. Technically I have an older brother that I do not know about as he was

The nobles of Westemar are weak and undeserving of their positions. I am destined to rule,

The Backstory
Corina was born into the von Karajan family, a well to do noble house. She was born only a
few years before the meteor fell and they had to evacuate the city. They fled to their estate in
Kesselholm, where she was raised as an only child to rule the family. Her parents, Lionel
and Katrin, sided with Cecelia von Kessel in the civil war, and were amongst her strongest
supporters. When she was 9, they were betrayed by another noble horse and the estate was
attacked. Some of the household servants helped her escape as her parents fought the
invaders and were eventually slain. The servants helped her escape to Altburg, where she
lived as Corina Kaesenolm.
The servants raised her as best they could, in hiding there. She was afforded a half-decent
education from Jessica, and the promise that she would rise again from Majordomo Anton.
They burned through much of the remainder of the families wealth in raising her, and when
she was 18 she knew she needed to get back at those who had wronged her family.
Amongst the books that she studied, Jessica had acquired a book on fiendology, with the
descriptions of making pacts. With consultation of her foster parents, she set forth on
gathering the required items to make a deal to give her the power to find the proof she’d
need to put House von Karajan back on top. In the completion of the ritual, the final step of
the deal, which had not been detailed in the book, was to cut all ties to loved ones via death.
She hesitated only a moment, before completing the ritual. With the new powers and the
guilt of what she’d done. She left that night, “carelessly” leaving a cooking fire going, and
leaving behind little evidence.
