About the Author

Dr. José Cartagena was born in San Juan Puerto Rico, on February 26, 1948. He
was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at
the World University IIA of Puerto Rico and a Master's degree in Industrial Psychology at
the Caribbean Center for Postgraduate Studies, now the Carlos Albizu University. Residing
in Puerto Rico, he received his first certification as a Sexual Counselor from the American

an instructor. He was ordained Minister of Metaphysical Science by the International
Metaphysical Ministry in 1994. In 1995 he received training in Spirit Releasement Therapy
with Dr. William Baldwin and his wife Judith, after having been practicing the techniques
successfully for two years. In 1997 she participated in clinical liberation and spiritual
dispossession training with Doctors Irene Hickman and Edith Fiore.
