The first day of my holidays

My dad decided to take me on a short holiday, so we drove to the sunny coast. We were
both excited when we saw the sea. Dad parked his car and we walked into a beautiful hotel
and waited at the reception for our turn. There was a little girl in front of us. She had a doll in
her hand but when she saw me, she found me cute so she took me and kept me tight. I
could not move! Of course, my dad tried to get me back. That was not easy but he had a
very good idea…

A) Read the text and underline the verbs in the simple past.
B) Write these verbs down in the table:

C) Write down three questions about the story.

D) What was the good idea? Continue Teddy’s story. Don’t forget to write in the past
