The main differences lie

in : Domination of one party (One and a half party system with LDP and a bit of JSP). Voters
tends to make an impact inside the party rather than between the parties. LDP was helped by
multiple factors :
- Governerd during a long-running expansion of the economy
- Opposition parties are fragmented because of ideologies differences
- The method of seats allocation in the DIET.
- Campaign cost money and LDP has it thanks to links with business world
- In power so can distribute favors.
