It is a piece of writing used for a professional setting and follow certain


guidelines and formats
Organization and presentation:
-Include your name and contact information.
-Include the recipient's name and address.
-Include the date
-Use the correct greeting (Dear Sr or Madam) / (Dear Mr Brown/ Mrs Fogelman)
-Close the letter woth a formal sign-off and add your signature.

Language and style


-Formal register is used.
-Titles are not used in this type of writing.
