This webinar is very important to my part as a mother.
It open my curiosity about the mental health.. Im very
relate to this topic because a month ago my daughter
was suffering from depression due to death of her
father 10 years ago..I could imagine this long years still
affects her ..She was in trauma and she can’t sleep
because she keep on telling me what happened a year
ago.. She blame me for this.. I was not there 10 years
ago when this tragic accident happened to her father,
Iman ofw by that time.
A week before, the news from my old school spread,
where my kid currently schooling, that there was a 2
student grade 8 and 10 who committed suicide taking
their own lives by strangulation and the reason why
they do this is because their both boyfriend known
cousin decided to break up their relation.
By this time it goes in my mind that I could happened
also to my kids which I don’t have knowledge how to
handle it if im in this situation...
By watching the webinar, it gives me idea on how to
overcome this...Im a mother of same situation...I talked
to them specially to my daughter and listen to what it
in her mind .. a free talk and a being good listener might
help her condition.. So thankful that she release all her
emotionally...Mental Health Problems is a serious
illness that affects how we think,emotionally and
psychologically..Mental health is very important at the
stage of life from childhood and adolescent through
adulthood..My experience give me knowledge on how to
overcome this problems by making connection to
others,appeal to you senses,making leisure and
contemplation a priority.. Mental health is indeed a
vital aspect of our overall well-being, and being a
supportive listener and caregiver can make a
substantial difference.
Proactive approach in seeking information through
the webinar and engaging in open conversations
with my daughter is incredibly valuable. Creating a
safe space for her to express her emotions is crucial.
Sometimes, just having someone who listens without
judgment can alleviate a great deal of emotional
burden.
Insights into strategies for mental well-being, such as
making connections, engaging in leisure activities,
maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and reducing stress,
are all scientifically proven methods that can
significantly contribute to better mental health.
Encouraging these practices not only benefits your
daughter but also fosters a positive environment for
the entire family.
Always remember, seeking professional help froma
therapist or counselor can also be immensely
beneficial. They can provide specialized guidance and
support tailored to our Mental Health
