EDGAR ALLAN POE

The master of horror

1809 - The beginning


In a 7th of October in the early year of
1849 in a city of Baltimore, Edgar opened
his eyes for the first time.

1811 - A new family


When he was just a child he lost his
parents, so a rich family adopted him, but
the cohesion with his adoptive father
wasn't good too

1826 - Bad Luck


He only stayed one year in the Virginia
university but no for bad grades, there were
many reasons for example:
He started to play in bets because the money
that his father send him, was no enough.

1827 - The inception of his book


With nothing to sustain himself, Poe decides
to enlist himself in the military. During that
time he released his first book, "Tamerlane
and other poems" only 50 copies. But that
didn't make him give up. So he tried again
with "al Aaraaf, Tamerlane and minor poems"

1841 - Making history unknowingly


Without knowing it, Poe opened a new
door for all writers with the detective story
with 'The Crimes of Morgue Street'.
this was the inspiration for Arthur Conan
Doyle to create Sherlock Holmes

1845 - The beginning of the end


This year, his poem titled 'The Crow' was
published in the evening mirror, and it
became a major hit. However, he is only
compensated with 9 dollars for this

1849 - The final mystery


The third of October in 1849 was the day
Poe was found in a state of delirium, no
one knew what had happened, and a few
days later, he passed away, leaving a huge
mystery...
What happened to him that night?
