VIRTUAL CLASS – MARCH 14TH

A) READING- Read the text and anser the questions below.

My Home Town
I live in a town called Oxford. It is quite a big town with museums and art galleries. In my
town, there is the Bodleian Library. It’s the oldest library in the country, even older than
libraries in London. The University of Oxford is one of the most famous universities in the
world. The university has more students than many other towns of the same size. And lots of
people ride bikes in Oxford!
There is a big park in the middle of the town and it has some very interesting plants. I think
the people in my town are the friendliest in the world. Everyone smiles and people are
happy.
My school is quite far away from my house, but I enjoy biking through the town to school.
Near my house, there is the Town Hall. It’s a very old, beautiful building. The rivers around
Oxford are very pretty and on the warmest days of the year, people go on boats on the river.
There are some great places for young people to go to, but the closest big city to Oxford is
London! London is only one hour away. It’s bigger and more exciting than Oxford and there
is more to do there. My town is perfect for people who have children and pets because
there are great parks to play in. I love my home town!
