SEX: MIXED (Male & Female)
AVERAGE AGE: 16-17yrs

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Man, woman, trees, animals, textbooks,


whiteboard, marker, duster, a cardboard paper chart of living organisms.
BEHAVIOURAL OBJECTIVES: by the end of this lesson, students should be
able to

1. Define living things


2. List the general characteristics of living things
3. List the different living things that live within and outside our environment.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: students have been familiar with the element that is
around the surrounding or environment.

INTRODUCTION: The teacher introduces his/her lesson by revising the previous


knowledge, trying to relate it with the new topic.

PRESENTATION: the teacher presents his/her lesson by a step by step process.

STEP I: what is living things? Living things are organisms or things that have
life, can grow and die.
STEP II: the characteristics of living things.

(a). Movement

(b). Reproduction

(c). Nutrition

(d). Irritability/sensibility

(e). Growth

(f). Excretion

(g). Respiration

(h). Death

STEP III: the different living things within and outside our environment. Cow,
hen, mango trees, cat, lion, cashew trees, elephant, orange trees, man, parrot,
sheep, rat, ant, pawpaw trees, coconut trees.

EVALUATION:

1. The teacher asks the students/learners questions; Q. list three living things
you know within and outside your environment. A. cat, dog, trees e.t.c
2. The teacher allows the students to ask questions.

CONCLUSION/SUMMARY: the teacher summarizes his/her lesson by revising


and giving more explanations of the treated topic for more deliberations and
understanding for the students.

ASSIGNMENT: the teacher gives the students assignment for them to do at home.

1. List 5 other living things that you know which was not listed in the class.
2. Draw and label 2 of the listed living things.
