X The Cisco Console pinout is not the same as that of the console on a Acme
Packet Net-Net Session Director. Therefore, the Cisco Console cable, which
is typical a baby blue RJ45 to DB9 cable, will not work straight out of the
box.

with a DB9 NULL MODEM adapter. If you place a DB9 NULL MODEM
adapter inline between the DB9 end of the Cisco Console and the serial port
on the computer running the terminal emulation software, you should be
able to connect.

DEVICE Please keep in mind that the console port speed on the Acme Packet Net-
Net Session Director is much higher than that of a default Cisco. Acme
Packet uses a baud rate of 115,200 bps. Make sure you change the Acme
Packet baud rate to 9600 through an alternate method first.
