Background:
Manhal hospital Erigavo is a community-based private hospital, implemented by Manhal charity
organization. Manhal hospital Erigavo was officially inaugurated in March 2003. It is the first
private Hospital in Sanaag and provides high quality medical services with different clients of
the clients including OPD, IPD, General medicine, General surgery, Obstetrics/ gynecological,
Pediatric, Imaging, ophthalmological, dental, neonatal and training services to university
students as well. Manhal Hospital fosters integrity, respect, impartiality, transparency, equity,
accountability, and patient-centralism core values and maintains strong bond with government
institutions, donors and private enterprises as well.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients, and to
evaluate their suitability.
2. Assess the identity, strength, or purity of medications.
3. Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and
proper medication storage.
4. Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and to prevent excessive usage
or harmful interactions.
5. Actively participates in department cost savings initiatives
6. Provides professional, engaging customer service to all patients, and healthcare providers
with whom they work
7. Maintain the recordkeeping system for purchase, sale, delivery, possession, storage,
inventory and safekeeping of drug.
Requirements
 Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related such as Nursing
 Minimum two (2+) year experience in hospital pharmacy
 NHPC Pharmacist License or Nursing preferred
  Adaptable to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work to complete
urgent tasks
 Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills in English
 Experience in MS office, pivot tables, quality data software.
