Guidelines for S.Y.B.Sc.

(Computer Science) PRACTICAL

CIRCULAR
1) The university will conduct two practical examinations (Laboratory - I and
Laboratory - II) for S.Y.B.Sc.(Computer Science). For each of the examinations
two examiners shall be appointed: one will be internal and the other will be
external.

2) For Laboratory – I examination, University of Pune will provide separate slips.

These slips will be distributed to all colleges before the practical examination.

The structure of a slip will be as follows:

Q.1) Practical question on Data Structures using C. [40 Marks]

Q.2) Practical question on C++ Programming. [30 Marks]
Q.3) Viva ( Data Structures and C++ Programming) [10 Marks]
Q.4) Assessment of WorkBook (Internal) [20 Marks]

Teacher in college should continuously assess WorkBook of the students and

assign marks out of 20 before practical examination.

3) The practical examination based on Laboratory –II will be for subject CS-II
(Semester I and Semester II) which will be on MySQL and Software
Engineering. University of Pune will provide separate slips. These slips will be
distributed to all colleges before the practical examination.

The structures of slip will be as follows:

Q.1) Practical question on MySQL. [40 Marks]

Q.2) Project Viva (External) [25 Marks]
Q.3) Project Evaluation (Internal) [25 Marks]
Q.4) Assessment of MySql workbook [10 Marks]

Teacher in college should assess Project and assign marks out of 25 for
Question No. 3 in slip before practical examination.

Grading For Laboratory – II Examination is as follows:

Below 40 D (Indicates FAIL)
40 - 49 C
50 - 59 C+
60 – 69 B
70 - 79 B+
80 - 89 A
90 – 100 A+
