Thank you! <3 + Pattern was designed to be a mini version of the "Chonky Mushroom Boi" pattern by @Chonky.Crochet (they granted me permission to publish this free pattern) + Pattern is in US terminology + Pattern is worked from the top, down in continuous rounds (AKA spiral rounds) + Use of a stitch marker at the end of each round is recommended « Skill level: advanced beginner + 5mm hook + black thread for mouth (optional) * scissors + polyester stuffing + tapestryneedle . 8mm safety eyes + Hobbii Baby Snuggle (or similar) plush yarn in two colors. One for the body/spots and one for the cap. + yardage for body/spots: about 13 yards + yardage for cap: about 5 yards « MR - magic ring INC - increase « ST(s) - stitch(es) DEC - decrease + SC - single crochet BLO - back loop only + HDC - half double crochet FLO - front loop only v&+ BBL - Bobble stitch (4loops) + SLST - slip stitch »& Bobble stitch with 4 loops: *yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull through stitch, yarn over, pull through 2 loops* (Do this sequence 2 more times until you have 4 loops on your hook, then yarn over and pull through all 4 loops.) Begin with the cap color: R1: 6 SC in MR [6 sts] R2: INC x 6 [12 sts] R3: (SC 2, INC) x 4 [16 sts] R4: SC around [16 sts] Place another stitch marker in the back loop of the next stitch and leave it in for later. RS: Front loops only. You will use HDC stitches for this round, including for increases. FLO (HDC 2, INC) x 5, HDC [21 sts] To finish off the cap, you will do another SC in both loops of next stitch, followed by a SL ST in the one after, then fasten off and weave in your tail. Ea rne) Attach the body color yarn with a SL ST to the back loop you marked earlier. You will now begin making the body. R6: BLO SC around [16 sts] R7: SC around [16 sts] R8: SC 4, BBL, SC 5, BBL, SC 5 [16 sts] R9: SC around [16 sts] R10: SC 6, BBL, SC 2, BBL, SC 6 [16 sts] Add safety eyes between R7 and R8 directly next to each arm. Then stuff the mushie firmly. R11: DEC x 8, finish stuffing, fasten off, cinch closed and weave in end. By Mushie spots: Using the same color as the body, cut a strand that's about 14" long (35cm) and use it to sew the spots, then fasten off and weave in ends. Mouth: If you'd like to, you can also embroider a small mouth using a small bit of black yarn or embroidery thread. And that's it. You've now completed your mini mushie!
