Panama: median monthly wage by occupation,2019

(In dollars)

The graph shows the difference between professions in Panama. We can see that the
highest paid individuals are the professionals, scientists and intellectuals. The ones who
get paid the least, however, are the uncertified workers, miners, construction workers,
industrial workers, manufacturers, public transport drivers, etc. Hence we can say that
the level of education attained by different individuals plays a big role in the wage
difference. The latter is sustained by the fact that the second and third most paid
professions are all educational mandary related jobs.

Additionally, we can also see that the disparity between job pay is really big in the
country with a range of around 800 dollars between the highest paid job and the lowest.
It is also worth mentioning that the wage situation is disastrous, as the economy
worsens and inflation occurs, the lower wages aren’t really sufficient for citizen
sustainability and living standards.
