Due to the severe weather to include high winds and present fire conditions, 2. Due to multiple active fires within the county; Now, Therefore, It Is Hereby Proclaimed that an emergency now exists throughout said County and It Is Further Proclaimed and Ordered that during the existence of said emergency the powers, functions, and duties of the Director of Emergency Management and the organization of Madison County shall be those prescribed by state law and the ordinances, resolutions, and approved plans of Madison in order to mitigate the effects of said emergency. Further, I hereby direct the County Administrator to present this proclamation at the next meeting of the Board of Supervisors for ratification.
