Introduction

1.1Existing System

• In existing system there are lots of paper work and manual processing.
• Records very carefully as the entire data is written in those book

• Everything is paper based hence it is very time consuming more than person can’t access the
data at same time

• There is no system to check the past transactions on any bill, to do this they have to check
payment register and this task is too much time consuming and tiresome.

• The manually system work very difficult and very complex for manages celebration.

1.2 Need For System

• Keep proper records of items.

• It also maintains correct and quick processing to get some printed output or records. Bills, Paid
amount, Balance amount, etc.

• The main objective of this system to store large amount of data within less time.

• The most important objective is to provide the security. Authority security and further
privacy and also provide management of information very quickly.

• To overcome some problem that comes during existing system.

• Now the day, everyone lives with very fast life; no one can wait a time consuming so new
system do the necessary and speedy job daily monthly yearly easily and quickly.

1.3Operating Environment Hardware and Software

The Travel Booking System shall function on the PC provided by the system. This entails the
system to operate on the Windows CE platform. The Travel Booking System shall interface
between Windows CE designated to store the records. The Web Server and Database Software
have not been established at this point. The Travel Booking System will record all the essentials
details of each particular User related data. Pentium 3.0 GHz or higher RAM must be 1 Gb or
more and Hard disk.

SOFTWARE SPECIFICATION

• Integrated Development Environment: Netbeans
• MySQL Command Line Client
• Programming language: JAVA

HARDWARE SPECIFICATION

• System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-bassed processor.

• Installed memory (RAM):8.00 GB (7.43 GB Usable)

PROPOSED
SYSTEM

2.1 Proposed System (Introduction of system)

The main objective of the Travels Booking System is to manage the details of Customer, Hotel
Booking, Cancellation and Tourism places. It manages all the information about Users, Hotel,
Packages etc. The project is totally built at administrative end and thus only the administrator is
guaranteed the access to the backend database. The purpose of this project is to build an
application program to reduce the manual work for managing Tourists, Booking, Places etc.
.
 This application will help in accessing the information related to the travel to the particular
destination with great ease. The users can track the information related to their tours with great
ease through this application. The travel agency information can also be obtained through this
application.

 Through this system, the propose system is highly automated and makes the travelling
activities much easier and flexible. The user can get the very right information at the very right
time. This system will include all the necessary fields which are required during online
reservation time. This system will be easy to use and can be used by any person. The basic idea
behind this project is to save data in a central database which can be accessed by any authorize
person to get information and saves time and burden which are being faced by their customers.

 Administrator can access and modify the information stored in the database of this system, this
includes adding and updating of details, and it will give accurate information and simplifies
manual work and also it minimizes the documentation related work. Provides up to date
information. Finally booking confirmation notification will be send to the users.

 Tourists can register by providing personal details, make new reservation and book only one
hotel and packageand can make cancellation.

Introduction to proposed system:

Computer is manmade machine. It takes some data as input process as per instruction and
give result very quickly and accurately. System is an orderly grouping interdependent component
linked together to according to plan to achieve specific objective.
There are many drawbacks in manual system. To overcome these all drawbacks there is
need of computerization there are many chances of mistakes while calculation. When calculation
is performed on computer, we get more accuracy than manual work. It is easy to generate reports
which can received quickly therefore it save the time and energy so fact is reduce man power
automatically.
In proposed system when we enter information for new entries, details of event on computer
then within fraction of time report will generate. As well as we see total information of particular
customer and also we removed particular record from computer and the information about
particular field is updated automatically you can create bill receipt on these proposed system. We
can see reports at any time on system.

2.2 Module specifications (Scope)

1) Saving of man power:

Due to computerization, there is consideration saving in manpower and time because all billing
related activities are carried out automatically.

2) Accuracy and efficiency:

No wrong data is possible because of the validation checks by system.

3) Early and correct decision making:

Because of fast communication, report making procedure is simplified and fast.

4) Immediate response to problems:

Due to computerization the problems which are related to billing can be reduced.

5) Advantages of computerization:
To overcome limitation of existing system, computerization is correct choice of computer in any
field and it reduce the time required to do a particular job.
2.3 Objectives of System
The main reason behind the development of the system is to overcome the problems
and provide the good and quick Reports of Travel system.

The system consists many objectives as follows:

1) To increase efficiency and make work effective.

2) This system also uses to current and quick working.

3) To reduce manpower and paperwork.

4) The objective of this system is to store large amount of data with less space and less time.

5) To introduce drawbacks of manual system.

6) To provide good service and give desired and accurate result.

7) There is no loss of data.

8) Using computer software addition, modification, view, deletion of record is quickly possible.

The main objective is to provide accuracy in the billing. It helps to customer and owner also for
errorless transactions. The paperwork has too many errors while billing. To resolve this problem
this system is developed.

3.4 E-R Diagram
ER Diagram stands for Entity Relationship Diagram, also known as ERD is a diagram that
displays the relationship of entity sets stored in a database. In other words, ER diagrams help to
explain the logical structure of databases. ER diagrams are created based on three basic concepts:
entities, attributes and relationships.ER Diagrams contain different symbols that use rectangles to
represent entities, ova to define attributes and diamond shapes to represent relationships.
