Hansei is a constant structure of fine thought that take place to reflect on past mistakes,
profile lessons, and pledge to act on those lessons. It is a major practice by the Japanese as it is
part of their culture ( Rappleye & Komatsu 2017 ). If involved with a similar situation at Netflix, I
will make sure that a subscriber is able to delete “continuing watching” on Netflix. If you watch
anything for a short period of time and don’t finish it shows on the list of” continue watching”.
This can be solved by going to the viewing activity page (Account> Expand profile> Viewing
activity). This page of” viewing activity” shows everything that has been watched from the latest
to the oldest. The subscriber of the app should be able to click ’ No symbol’ next to the movie
watched to remove it from the list. However, for tv shows, it can be done by clicking the “no
Another thing that I can do is to ensure a subscriber gets better Netflix suggestions. It is
difficult to take control over suggestions from the people watching as they have different tastes. I
can solve this by ensuring the subscribers can freely rate the shows. By having a good rating
system, the subscriber can indicate if they did or did not like something. Meanwhile, this can be
done by ensuring the five-star rating icon is placed on the Netflix title. However, subscribers
should be able to click the thumbs up and down icon on the title of each show. By clicking the
icon, it will help the Netflix management to know the opinion of the subscriber and record it to
