1. Vacation – noun - an extended period of leisure and recreation, especially one spent away from home or in
traveling.
Example: He took a vacation in the south of France.
2. Voyage – noun - long journey involving travel by sea or in space.
Example: Writing a biography is a voyage of discovery.
3. Geography – noun- the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments.
Example: Knowing the geography and topology of the battlefield.
4. Enough – determiner - as much or as many as required.
Example: There are too much work and not enough people to do it.
5. Climb – verb - go or come up (a slope, incline, or staircase), especially by using the feet and sometimes the
hands; ascend.
Example: We began to climb the hill.
6. Satellite – noun - an artificial body placed in orbit around the earth or moon or another planet in order to
collect information or for communication.
Example: Earth’s only satellite is the moon.
7. Terrible – adjective- extremely or distressingly bad or serious.
Example: A terrible crime.
8. Annoy – verb - irritate (someone); make (someone) a little angry.
Example: Your cheerfulness has always annoyed me.
9. Naughty – adjective - (especially of children) disobedient; badly behaved.
Example: You've been a really naughty boy.
10. Usually – adverb - under normal conditions; generally.
Example: He usually arrives home about one o'clock.
11. Neighbor – noun - a person living near or next door to the speaker or person referred to.
Example: Our garden was the envy of the neighbors.
12. Laugh – verb - make the spontaneous sounds and movements of the face and body that are the instinctive
expressions of lively amusement and sometimes also of contempt or derision.
Example: She couldn't help laughing at his jokes.
13. Throat – noun - the passage which leads from the back of the mouth of a person or animal.
Example: Her throat was parched with thirst.
14. Celery – noun - a cultivated plant of the parsley family, with closely packed succulent leafstalks that are
eaten raw or cooked.
15. Quiet – adjective - making little or no noise.
Example: The car has a quiet, economical engine.
16. Surprise – noun - an unexpected or astonishing event, fact, or thing.
Example: The announcement was a complete surprise.
17. Should – verb - used to indicate obligation, duty, or correctness, typically when criticizing someone's actions.
Example: He should have been careful.
18. Insist – verb - demand something forcefully, not accepting refusal.
Example: She insisted on carrying her own bag.
19. Stair – noun - a set of steps leading from one floor of a building to another, typically inside the building.
Example: He came up the stairs.
20. Trust – noun - firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.
