Objectives: Analyze the structure of fictional short stories by reading examples of them.
Warm up: Collect and review Reading Assignment #9. Talk about Black Panther and 3D Printers.
Topic Development: PRINT ALL READING MATERIALS BEFORE CLASS OR GET A COPY AT THE
SCHOOL OFFICE! NO PHONES ARE ALLOWED!
Closing Activities: Discussion of lecture. Answer student questions. Work on the handout.
Assessment: HOMEWORK: Reread the story in order to prepare for Friday’s classwork assignment.
Objective: Discuss future facts, predictions, plans, and scheduled events. Express quick decisions,
offers, and promises.
Warm up: Do Before You Read on the top of page 74. Ask students where they would travel in space?
Topic Development: Students will read the story on pages 74-5. Ask them questions about it.
Objective: Review the use, structure, and meaning of the simple present. Look at Wh-questions.
Warm up: Quickly review Grammar Bank 5B. Answer student’s questions.
Topic development: Students will have 30 minutes to do Grammar Bank 5B on page 101.
Closing Activities: Review classwork and put grade in SEDUCA. Do Food Questionnaire on page 31,
orally. Students in groups of 2 or 3 will prepare a restaurant role play for Monday.
Assessment: HOMEWORK: Finish your role play and practice it for Monday.
Objectives: Analyze the cellular structure of bacteria in relation to eukaryotes. Identify what bacteria
need to survive, thrive and reproduce. Analyze the role of bacteria in human lives.
Activities: Collect and review homework. Flipped Classrooms will count as an Oral Grade. Lecture,
videos, classwork, classwork.
Warm up: Collect and review the Virus Handout (pages 40-6). Ask the class how cheese and yogurt are
made.

Warm up: Role play presentations. Do Telling Time dialogue on page 32. Match and ask questions.
Topic development: Go over all forms of time with a digital clock on the board.
Closing Activities: Do Dialogues 2:61-2:63 on page 88 with questions. Then dialogue on page 34.

Objective: Continuation of Tuesday’s class …… HAVE ALL HANDOUTS PRINTED OUT FOR CLASS!
Activities: Review and finish Tuesday’s class. Classwork, videos, homework.
Warm up: Ask the class to summarize Tuesday’s lecture. Review important points.
Closing Activity: Classwork: Students will start 7th Grade Science Assignment #11: Bacteria I (pages
48-51).
Assessment: HOMEWORK I: If students don’t finish their classwork, it will be due on TUESDAY. It will
count as a QUIZ grade.
HOMEWORK II: Design your flipped classrooms for TUESDAY. See topics under the
Science section of the weekly guide. They should be at least 4-Page
PowerPoints or make a poster. You can teach on the board too. You
can also include a short video about your topic. Presentations need to
be at least 4 minutes.
Assessment: HOMEWORK: If students don’t finish the classwork, it will be due on MONDAY!
