AMC F.O.T.

Description

AMC F.O.T. is used in both steam and motor vessels burning heavy fuel oils.
Disperses sludge, separates water and improves atomization in combustion.

Characteristics

Increase combustion efficiency.

Reduce ash deposit.
Limits fouling of combustion chambers, super heaters, exhaust valves, scavenge ports and
turbochargers.
Prevents high- and low temperature corrosion by raising the melting point of the vanadium
compound.
Prevents formation of sludge in tanks, filters, preheaters, etc.
Disperses and suspends existing sludge.
Separates emulsified water and helps water separation at the separator.
Allows reduction of excess air.
Reduces unburned particles and soot emissions.
Improves atomization and combustion.

Usage Instruction

AMC F.O.T. is introduced as follows:

- Automatically, by means of a metering pump, into the fuel system.

- Manually into bunker tank prior to or during filling. The fuel movement on entering the tank blends the
product completely.

Usage Instruction

Dosage requirements depend on the quality of the fuel oil to be treated.

Fuels with high sulfur and vanadium levels and / or high viscosity and solid particles:
1 to 2 lts. of AMC F.O.T. for every 2000 lts. of fuel oil may be necessary.

As a general guideline, initial dosage recommendation is 1 lt. of AMC F.O.T. for 4000 lts. of heavy fuel
oil.

Further dosage down to 1 lt. of AMC F.O.T. for 4000 - 8000 lts. may be adequate based on operating
experience and results.
