Special Conditions of Contract

Name of Work: Construction of Boundary wall, Guard Room and other related work
for extended campus of IIT Delhi at Village Badsa, Distt Jhajjar,
Haryana.

1.0 Special conditions of contract shall be read in conjunction with the general conditions of
contract, specifications of work, drawings and all other documents forming part of this
contract.

1.1 Amendment to clause no. 38.0 (Defect Liability Period) under Conditions of Contract of
General Conditions of Contract for PMC Works - 2022.

The following supersedes the present relevant clause(s) to the extent of Contravention.

The contractor shall be responsible for the rectification of defects in the works for a period
twelve ( 12) months from the date of taking over of the works by the NBCC or clients
whichever is later. Any defects discovered and brought to the notice of the contractor
forthwith shall be attended to and rectified by him at his own cost and expense. In case the
contractor fails to carry out these rectifications, the same may without prejudice to any
other right or remedy available, be got rectified by NBCC at the cost and expense of the
contractor.

1.2 Initial Pile Load Test

1.2.1 The contractor shall construct 02 nos. of test piles at site for conducting pile integrity
and vertical load test as per relevant IS codes and CPWD specifications.
1.2.2 The construction of piles for boundary wall will start based on the results of pile load
test done as per clause no. 1.2.1 above.
